We are looking for someone to become a Senior Leader at our school who feels they have the energy, enthusiasm and vision to continue to help lead forward a highly motivated, driven, quality staff team.

We require someone to:

  • Lead all aspects of the EYFS (3 Reception classes and Nursery)
  • Teach in a Reception class.
  • Lead a Core area of the curriculum or Foundation Subjects

Information about the school

Callis Grange Nursery and Infant School is a co-educational Local Authority community school for children aged three to seven years. It is a 'Good' school with some 'Outstanding' areas where "pupils enjoy coming to school and are enthusiastic about their learning: (Ofsted 2022). It has a nursery on site with 26 places, three reception classes, three Year 1 classes and three Year 2 classes each with 30 pupils. The school is popular and significantly oversubscribed each year.

The school is lucky to have amazing grounds which have been well developed to provide an outdoor learning area for each year group and also a forest school.

The school has achieved a number of national awards, including the Naace Mark, Healthy School status, Early Years, Eco School and Active Mark Gold.

Our pupils are enthusiastic and hard working. Their needs are well met by our experienced teaching staff who are always looking for ways to improve their practice.

The school and its curriculum aim to build on and complement the learning that has already started at home, in relation to moral values, attitudes and awareness of society. We aim to work in partnership with parents/carers in developing pupils personally and emotionally as young citizens in modern Britain.

At Callis Grange, we aim to provide a stable and caring learning environment in which children are happy to attend, are stimulated, keen to learn and flourish. We listen to our pupils and allow them to make decisions for the school which has been an extremely powerful part of our ongoing school development. We love to celebrate the children’s achievements, whether academic, in sports, music, art or otherwise.
