Advert

We are looking for a ABA Supervisor to join our outstanding school.

You will work alongside our team of Supervisors and qualified Teachers, working directly with a number of allocated pupils for whom you will have direct responsibility. You will ensure the pupils will achieve and flourish at Quest because of effective delivery of, access to and progression through their personalised curriculum, learning support strategies and behaviour plans underpinned by the scientific principles of learning and behaviour (ABA).

You will have some direct line management responsibility and have a duty to ensure staff are trained and assessed to be teaching at a high quality.

You will be degree educated and ideally have a BCBA qualification, or willing to work towards. You will have extensive knowledge, experience and skills in teaching using ABA principles. Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar setting with children or young people. You will be a team player, with excellent communication skills and have a strong desire to make a difference to children’s lives.

The position is full time, term time only (40 weeks per year), with a salary of £23,500 – £28,500pa (actual) depending on experience and qualifications.

Information about the school

Quest School is an independent specialist school, registered to take pupils from age 5-19 years, across the autistic spectrum. Our last Ofsted inspection in November 2022 rated us ‘Outstanding’ across all areas.

Quest was founded in 2003 by a group of parents and Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) professionals, seeking to create a specialist learning environment, designed around the specific needs of pupils with autism.

The ABA approach is foundational to every aspect of learning within the school and uses a structured teaching approach built on the principles of behaviour science. Quest is the only ABA school in Kent – there are only a handful of other ABA schools across the UK.

Regardless of ability level, pupils at Quest School have made outstanding progress in all areas of learning. For some, this is achieving everyday tasks independently; for others, it is achieving nationally recognised accreditation at Key Stage 4 and 5. All pupils at Quest have an Education, Health and Care Plan and consequently, places are agreed and funded by Local Authorities rather than individual fee-paying places.
