School Holiday Play Scheme Worker

Our Wrap Around Care facility requires a part time permanent Play Worker to work during the school holidays. Applicants will have a minimum of an NVQ 2 or equivalent in child care or similar. Previous experience of working with children with additional needs would be beneficial.

Hours are 7.45am to 6.00pm.  Hours to be discussed. 

Salary is KR2 (£14, 856 - £15252) full time equivalent.

Our Wrap Around Care facility is very popular with our parents and often over subscribed.  A good sense of humour and team work are essential.

Information about the school

Bishops Down Primary and Nursery School is an inclusive, non-denominational school working in partnership with the Tunbridge Wells Primary Schools Collaborative Trust. The school was built in 1967 and is situated on the western edge of Tunbridge Wells in a leafy and pleasant residential area.

The school site is beautiful, elevated and fringed with green playing fields and woods. A fragrant quiet garden, pond and wooden structures in the grounds offer opportunities for happy playtimes.

We have just under 230 pupils in the primary and nursery classes. We also have a designation for children with physical disabilities and complex medical needs who are all included in mainstream.

We run Wrap Around Care at the beginning of the day and after school for our school and nursery children and during the holidays we run a Holiday Club for all children in the community.
