Twydall Primary School (Rainham Mark Education Trust) is looking to appoint a Finance Manager, for a Fixed Term contract period of 1 Year, to join our team of dedicated people, with a passion for working within a school environment. 

The post is for 20 hours per week (over 5 days) for 39 weeks of the year (term time, 5 staff development days plus 10 additional days to be worked during school holidays).  

Salary: Grade: C1 – £18,675 - £23,886 per annum, pro rata.

We are looking for a positive thinker with the right skills to join our committed and professional support team.

This is a critical role and would suit a highly numerate and articulate team-player.  The post requires the applicant to be adaptable and efficient and have the following:

  • A strong financial and administrative background, with a proven track record of financial management, preferably within an education setting.
  • Experience in budget setting, monitoring and forecasting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, both verbally and written.
  • Is organised and effective with an ability to work independently to meet and manage deadlines.
  • High expectations of themselves and others
  • Committed to on-going professional development.
  • An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with database packages such as Civica Finance Package.

Rainham Mark Education Trust is a family of three Academies in Medway, compromising of Rainham Mark Grammar School - Ofsted ‘Good’ May 2022, Riverside Primary School and Nursery - Ofsted ‘Good’ November 2019 and Twydall Primary School and Nursery - Ofsted ‘Good’ May 2023.
