Finance/Administrative Assistant required for September 2018

20 Hours per week, term time only (08:30 – 12:30)

Kent Range 4 (£17,189 - £18,058 pro rata)

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, professional, well educated, highly organised, efficient and reliable person to the key role of Finance/Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager in primarily ensuring the day to day financial operations of the school run efficiently. The role includes some personnel administration, along with general administration e.g. booking school trips, swimming etc. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, discretion and a sense of humour. Previous experience of working in a school office would be an advantage, but not essential; you will however need excellent IT skills, be well organised and able to prioritise a varying work load.

Sandwich Junior is a two form entry school, who currently have 222 pupils on roll. We are fortunate to have extensive grounds, which include two large playgrounds, a gardening area, outdoor music equipment, an Orchard and a full size Labyrinth to aid mindfulness and reflection. The school has a strong set of Core Values which underpin everything we do. Our location in the centre of Sandwich, Kent means we serve families from the town and the wider area. We received an Outstanding grading in our most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2022).
