From September we are seeking to introduce a new job role as part of our Cover Team working 28.75hrs per week.

Teaching Assistant with Responsbility for Teaching and Learning.

The role would include (but may not be exclusively):

  • PPA Cover
  • Year Leader release
  • Subject Leader release
  • Cover for courses
  • Planned cover to release for Appraisal: Pupil Progress Meetings: Phonic Screening: SATs cover etc.
  • Booster Group work
  • Planning/Year Group Resource work
  • TA's in this role would need the flexibility to be able to change plans at     short notice.

We are looking for a suitable, experienced person with previous experience of working as a cover supervisor in a school. A minimum of NVQ L3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is required: a degree level qualification is preferable. A good standard of English and Maths is essential.

This post requires someone with a calm patient disposition and an ability to work as part of a team.

Awareness of related Health and Safety and knoweldge of First Aid is also a necessary requirement for this post.
