Advert

We are looking for a highly skilled and organised person to join our dedicated team of central staff and provide effective clerking to a group of our Local Governing Bodies.

With offices based in Folkestone we offer a unique opportunity to join a forward thinking team. We are a growing organisation with a focus on improving the outcomes and life chances for children in our communities.

This role offers the exciting opportunity to help shape what governance looks like in our trust and to play a significant part in communicating our vision and aspirations. Joining part of an already established and successful team, you will be supported throughout and we are keen to see what others can bring to further improve our existing practice.

Previous experience of clerking is not a prerequisite for this role, but a history of minute taking is essential and expertise in organising meetings, particularly at a senior board level, would prove particularly helpful.

As a new post our initial offer is for 5 hours/week. However, as an expanding Trust, it is likely that hours will increase over time and so candidates will need some flexibility. Meetings will take place in the evening and during the day and in varying parts of the county (although most likely in Dover/Shepway). Applicants must, therefore, have the capability to be flexible and must have access to their own transport.
