We are looking for a highly organised and dedicated individual to join our team. A working knowledge of the best practice and the ability to inspire and support both children and adults will be a key requirement. An active willingness to contribute to whole school improvement is vital. The post will involve working in Key Stage 2 supporting the teaching and learning of mathematics and Literacy, providing booster support to individual/groups of children, as well as covering for other occasions e.g. courses.

Candidates must have a HLTA qualification or equivalent, experience of working with children from Year 3 to Year 6 and experience of taking a whole class. Experience of delivering Read, write, inc sessions would be an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to teach a group of children as part of the selection process.

 HOURS OF WORK - 17.5 hours per week.  8.45am - 12.15pm Monday - Friday.

PLEASE NOTE THIS APPOINTMENT IS INITIALLY A FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR ONE YEAR.

St Peter's Church of England Primary school is a small, family school with around 105 pupils. We are located in the East End of Folkestone overlooking the harbour and on the same site as St Peter's Church. Our Christian ethos is based on the Gospel Values. We provide a warm, friendly, supportive atmosphere where we all work together to ensure every child flourishes and achieves their full potential. St Peter's was last inspected in June 2019 and was judged to be Good. Our SIAMS inspection carried out in July 2018 judged the school as Outstanding.
