Pastoral Leader – Term Time Only – 35 weeks
We require full time, term time only Pastoral Leaders for our boarding houses. This is an exciting opportunity to support young people in both their academic and social life. You will work a term time only shift rota, supporting students from early morning to late afternoons over 7 days. A comprehensive training programme will be available to the successful candidates. The role would be particularly appropriate to teaching assistants, cover supervisors, support workers or anyone who has a genuine interest in working with students and who wishes to embark on a new and exciting career in a unique and iconic setting. A package of benefits includes free meals whilst on duty, use of gym on site. Salary: £12,851 per anumn (38.5 hours a week , working 35 weeks but payment is for 40 weeks which includes holiday payments. Salary is paid over the 12 months)

In 1801, His Royal Highness Frederick Duke of York laid the foundation stone in Chelsea of what was to become The Duke of York's Royal Military School, and so started over 200 years of high quality education.
The School has undergone many changes and as the first Full State Boarding Academy from September 2010 we are once again on the cusp of further exciting developments. The School has been in Dover for over 100 years on a 150 acre site. We have 500+ students aged 11- 18 years of age, all full-boarders, including weekly boarding with many students from military families.
