Turner Schools is looking to appoint a dedicated, caring and understanding Family Liaison and Attendance Officer who has high expectations of themselves and others.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building trusting relationships with pupils and their families, offering help, advice and support, signposting families to other agencies when appropriate. We are looking for a real team player who is ambitious to improve and maintain the good attendance levels of our pupils at Martello Primary and promote a positive attendance and punctuality culture to enable them to learn effectively. Our ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving outcomes for our children through the support they provide to the children and their families as well a committed team player.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have excellent communication, listening and observational skills
  • Be approachable, sensitive, supportive and enthusiastic
  • Be efficient and effective at time management
  • Be able to keep accurate and relevant records and handle confidential information
  • Provide pastoral and first aid care to pupils to ensure their health and safety within the school
  • Be able to encourage parental involvement in the school and it's activities
  • Support the SENCO, taking an active role with outside agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for all children
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in the effective operation of the school
  • Be inspiring to our pupils
  • Offer enthusiasm and energy to the role
