TA – Afternoons

Are you passionate about helping young people fulfil their potential? Do you have experience working with children in Early Years & Key Stage 1? We are looking for an organised, creative individual who loves being with KS1 children. You will be expected to work closely with the class teacher to plan activities which enable our children to make progress in all areas of the curriculum. You will work as part of our Pre-Prep team encouraging and supporting our children. You will also take initiative when you see that tasks need to be done, serve lunch and help monitor the children at playtime. This role is for 5 afternoons per week.

 

TA – SEN - Mornings

Do you have the ability to inspire children and support them with Maths and English? Would you like to be given the opportunity to lead small group sessions? Do you have SEN experience and/ or qualifications? Come and join the Pre-Prep team at St Michael’s as a SEN teaching assistant 5 mornings per week.  

You will work closely with the class teachers to support children both in and out of the classroom setting, in small groups and on a one to one basis. You will be expected to plan, organise and support children who need a little additional help with their learning. You will have bags of initiative and will be a discrete and reliable member of the Pre-Prep team. It will be helpful if you have prior knowledge of Read Write Inc.

 

After School Care Assistant

Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you an organised and creative individual who enjoys working with children aged 3 to 13? Then please consider the opportunity to work in the after school care facility at St Michael’s Prep School.

You will be part of a small team offering after-school care provision to children from Reception to Year 8. The role will be varied and exciting; You should be equally comfortable baking cakes, playing table tennis, sewing toys or crafting paper aeroplanes. No homework allowed!

You will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the facility, under the guidance of the After School Care Manager. You will be expected to help plan and organise age-appropriate activities that engage the children. You as part of the team will have responsibility for the safeguarding and welfare of the pupils in your care. You will be meticulous with paperwork and confident in dealing with parents. You will have bags of initiative and will be a reliable team player!
