Westmeads Infants School requires a Clerk to the Governors.

Your role will be to provide legal and procedural advice to governors, organise meetings, create agendas and produce a true and accurate record of the meetings in the minutes. The hours are part time, term time only, with each Governing Body meeting at least 6 times a year.  There will be some evening meetings and hours may vary in each term dependent on the needs of the Governing Body.

Key attributes we require are:

  • excellent time management and administration skills,
  • efficient use of technology,
  • systematic approach to maintaining files,
  • the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Previous knowledge and experience of clerking in schools is desirable but not essential however full training will be provided through the National Clerking Training Programme.
