We are looking for a lively, enthusiastic and versatile person to take our year 1 class, being responsible for up to 20 children.  To cover the basic literacy and numeracy work, whilst using initiative when planning activities and lessons.  To retain regular communication with parents regarding children, especially with reading progress and homework.  To liase with the head teacher who will monitor progress, and to make sure that the iTrack system is kept up to date.

Setting and marking of work is to be completed and to ensure that the pupils are set challenging but achievable targets and are encouraged to excel.

Be available during school holiday times for preparation and school displays, when necessary.

To maintain good standards of classroom behaviour and development of positive social skills.  Ensure that uniform and behaviour policies are adhered to.

Support all school staff and engage in a good staff team.

Must be reliable and punctual at all times.
