We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly driven Family Liaison Officer. Your remit will be to support parents to achieve the best outcomes for their families. The role will involve providing pastoral support to parents/carers and helping with any issues that they may have in relation to supporting their children, both at home and in school. You will work with parents to encourage parental involvement within school, signpost to agencies (where appropriate) and how they can support children in school. In short you will provide a listening ear to any parent who has a personal concern or a school related issue.

Your most essential quality will be your excellent communication skills as you will need to liaise with both parents and school staff. These skills will be crucial when you are regularly dealing with agencies who work outside of the school. You will also be expected to support the PTFA.

You will be self– motivated with a passion for ensuring that parents are empowered so that they and their families get the most out of the educational opportunities available. It is necessary that you are able to do this in a non-judgemental way.

As an amazing team player who has excellent interpersonal skills you will be able to work closely with our Child Liaison Officer and the rest of our Safeguarding team. As a school we believe in the importance of communication, parental voice and educating the whole child.

This is a part time post of 22 hours a week. Pay will be in the range KR3-KR5 depending on experience.
