About the role:  Cherry Orchard Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an experienced and efficient Finance Assistant to join our support team.  This is a brand new position for us and the overarching purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive financial support service to the Principal and Finance Manager.  Please note that this is a busy position; our successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise and also accuracy and attention to detail. Our successful candidate will benefit from being part of an incredibly friendly and highly collaborative team!  

The hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 1.00pm.  The basis of this role is over 41 working weeks per year made up of Term Time (including 5 inset days) plus two additional weeks throughout the academic year to be agreed with the Finance Manager in advance; we can be flexible on the additional weeks so this role is ideal for those seeking to keep the majority of their school holidays free!  You will be reporting into a highly experienced Finance Manager, and our successful candidate should be able to hit the ground running.

Working for the academy: Cherry Orchard Primary Academy is a highly successful two-form entry primary academy for students between the ages of 3 to 11 that opened in September 2017. The academy admits a maximum of 60 children into each year between Reception and Year 6 having initially opened with places available in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. We have continued to expand and from September 2021 we have children up to year 6 and with every year group at full capacity.
