We are looking to appoint an inspirational LEADER OF LEARNING to join our successful school. Are you an aspiring Headteacher? We are looking to recruit an ambitious, experienced teacher who would like to develop and hone their leadership skills.

Applicants must be able to show that they have proven school leadership experience that has had a significant impact on the whole school. Above anything else, you must have an uncompromising passion for teaching and learning and believe in our driving force – ‘One Childhood, One Chance.’

Our LEADER OF LEARNING will:

  • Be a courageous school leader – our pupils deserve a first class educational experience. You must firmly believe this and be prepared to question practices in the school that do not match the high standards we expect from every member of the Chilton staff.
  • Take a leading role for the quality of teaching and learning in a ‘phase’ (the post is either to lead years 2,3 and 4 OR years 5 and 6)
  • Be an excellent role model for staff and pupils
  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff, governors and the wider community
  • Understand the importance of assessment data and use this to track progress and attainment of all pupils

The following would also be an advantage:

  • Successful completion of NPQML
  • Knowledge and experience of statutory assessments for Years 2 and 6
