Are you an excellent teacher who wants the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of children who deserve the best? Are you energetic, creative, inspirational and adaptable? We are looking to appoint a teacher for our mixed Year 5 and Year 6 class for September 2018. We are looking for a teacher with a passion for learning and the drive and ambition to ensure all children achieve. We are a small team, striving for excellence. We offer great opportunities for CPD, a supportive team and most importantly children who are ready to learn!  The class is taught in descreet year groups for maths and spelling and for all other subjects we run a two year rolling curriculum.  You will also be supported by a full time HLTA. 

We are looking for a candidate who is willing to work hard, has very high expectations of themselves and others, who works well in a team and is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.

We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers who have experience teaching upper Key Stage 2.

A TLR2 payment is available for someone who is able to demonstrate the skills necessary to take on the role of Maths subject leader.  If this part of the role interests you, please make this clear in your application.

A particular interest in Religious Education, computing and/or Physical Education would be an advantage but not essential.

Information about the school

St Peter's Church of England Primary school is a small, family school with around 105 pupils. We are located in the East End of Folkestone overlooking the harbour and on the same site as St Peter's Church. Our Christian ethos is based on the Gospel Values. We provide a warm, friendly, supportive atmosphere where we all work together to ensure every child flourishes and achieves their full potential. We always look for staff who will bring their passion for education and humour to join our dynamic and extremely hardworking team. St Peter's was last inspected in June 2019 and was judged to be Good. Our SIAMS inspection carried out in July 2018 judged the school as Outstanding.
