This position is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding and inspirational Psychology teacher to join our exceptional team. The post will involve teaching Psychology at Key Stage 5.

The Psychology team currently consists of a Lead teacher of Psychology and one part time member of staff. This subject is located within the Humanities Faculty, which also houses History, Geography, RE, Sociology and Business. There is a supportive and collaborative ethos within the faculty and we are always open to new ideas. We regularly reflect on our delivery to ensure our students gain the best experience and aim to enthuse creative problem solving so as to achieve academic excellence and personal success for all our students. Weald of Kent students are driven, inquisitive and committed to learning. Our results at both GCSE and A Level are excellent and we frequently outperform other schools in our specialist areas. The Psychology results at Key Stage 5 are exceptional, and in 2017, Psychology was one of the strongest performing subject areas.

Psychology is a very popular A Level option and there are currently three classes in Year 12 and two in Year 13. We fully expect this to continue. The department follows the AQA specification and is incredibly well resourced. Students very much engage with topics around attachment, memory and conformity.
