39 weeks per year, Hours vary depending on the area

KR4 £8.79-£9.24 per hour (Full time equivalent £16,968 - £17,826)

Elms School are taking on the transportation of pupils from home to school starting in September with further routes following after the October half term and again in January.

We currently require drivers for runs starting immediately and further relief drivers to cover sickness straight away

Drivers will be responsible for safely operate the school’s bus routes, collecting pupils from home and delivering them to school for an 8.30am start; collecting them from school at 3pm (Monday to Thursday) and 2pm Friday and dropping them home. The successful candidates must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age (for insurance purposes)
  • Hold a license (category B) for at least 12 months, the license must not have:
    • More than 6 points
    • Have any drink/drive endorsements
    • Have a ban within the last 5 years
    • Have more than two current speeding endorsements
  • Emotional resilience and a good sense of humour.
  • A minimum of GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent.

We also use Restorative Approaches to build and maintain a sense of community and to provide our pupils with the ability and attitude to respect the viewpoints of others and, when necessary, take responsibility for resolving conflict and putting things right.

We have a large team, including our transport team who bring the pupils to and from school in our fleet of MPVs.
