Casual employees are entitled to claim an annual leave allowance based on the statutory leave provisions set out in the Working Time Regulations 1998, as amended. The annual leave allowance is calculated on the actual amount of hours worked each month.

Casual staff are required to increase our existing pool of Exam Invigilators who uphold the integrity of external and internal examinations and enforce JCQ regulations. Vacancies exist at both The Sittingbourne Community College and Westlands School. Once selected, successful applicants would be contacted at various times throughout the year to ascertain their availabitily. There is no obligation for work to be offered, or for invigilators to accept an assignment.

Successful candidates may be required to read and scribe for pupils, therefore applicants should have a good level of literacy, with at least a C grade at GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.

Experience of working in a busy environment would be beneficial.

This level of ambition is evident throughout the school”. They also commented on how, “Pupils are proud of how tolerant and supportive their school is” and that, “The vast majority of pupils behave well in school”. The school was graded as “Good” for the third successive inspection.
