We are looking for school governors to add to our governing body, so if you are looking for a new challenge, enjoy working as part of a team and are interested in giving something back to your community, this could be the opportunity for you.

What is a school governor?

We are keen to attract people in the local community to become school governors; people who can bring energy, experience and fresh ideas to the strategic direction of our school.

School governors work with the senior leadership team to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the school, monitor school performance and ensure that the school budget is well spent; ultimately ensuring that our school provides the best possible education for our children.

What qualifications do I need?

Governors need no formal qualifications or particular skills but you do need to have time to dedicate to the role to enable you to make good decisions and ensure these decisions are followed up.

Who are we?

We are Manor Community Primary School and are a member of Cygnus Academies Trust.  The Trust works with the school to deliver its mission of realising the ambitions of all people within the Trust.  It does this through a distinctive model built on collaboration, strong executive leadership, effective local governance, curriculum expertise and professional financial management.
