Parent & Pupil Mentor

(KR5 – Term Time, Monday to Friday 8.30-1.30pm)

This role will involve working with our parents and pupils to support good attendance and punctuality and undertake administrative tasks associated with the monitoring and evaluation of attendance. The role also involves providing early intervention, support and guidance to increase engagement with the school and improve learning outcomes for pupils and to liaise with and undertake referrals to other agencies as appropriate.

We are looking for –

  • a versatile practitioner with confidence to implement intervention programmes to overcome SEMH barriers to learning;
  • an understanding of School Information and Management System (SIMs) and the ability to use this as a tool to support monitoring, evaluation and improvements to attendance;
  • an effective team member willing to contribute to the group but also able to work independently and on their own initiative;
  • excellent communication skills in order to build rapport with adults and children to foster good home / school communication;
  • flexibility with effective time management skills;
  • energy and a sense of humour!
