We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational leader with knowledge, vision and a passion for education who has an ambition and commitment to children’s learning. They will be an outstanding practitioner who is highly motivated and hard working.

 

We require a dynamic person who is keen to take on new challenges and share their zest for life with our staff, pupils and parents. Our two form entry school has recently been graded as Good with Ofsted (September 2017) and Outstanding for SIAMS (December 2016) so we are now ready to enter the next exciting part of our journey.

 

We are a member of Aletheia Anglican Academies Trust, a locally based Church Schools Trust, and actively work with other local Primary schools and our Church Secondary school. This in itself offers huge opportunities to the right candidate.

 

Our new Deputy Head Teacher will be:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner who can consistently deliver and model best practice
  • Able to confidently and calmly deputise for the Head Teacher
  • Able to form supportive and professional relationships with children, staff and families
  • Committed to working with children, parents and staff to raise standards
  • Able to challenge and motivate others to achieve outstanding practice using coaching and mentoring skills when appropriate
  • Able to analyse data, develop strategic plans, set targets and monitor/evaluate progress towards these
  • Approachable and have a positive attitude
  • Committed to the Christian ethos of our school and willing to promote this and our values
  • Clear on the importance of safeguarding
  • An excellent communicator with good interpersonal and organisational skills

Information about the school

St Botolph's Church of England Primary School is a warm and friendly primary school located in Northfleet, Kent, which is always popular and oversubscribed. The school promotes a positive Christian ethos, behaviour is very good and there is a strong sense of community across all aspects of school life.

We currently have 14 classes that serve pupils between the ages of 4 and 11 years. Our pupils do well in school and we pride ourselves on developing the well-being and creativity of every child through after-school clubs, a creative curriculum and a strong Christian ethos. We benefit from attractive grounds and some new buildings.

The school operates as part of the Aletheia Academies Trust. The governing body is relatively small but has good levels of expertise.
