Cleaner Vacancy - We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed cleaner to join our school. The successful candidate will be required to work 10 hours per week from 3.30pm – 5.30 pm daily during term time plus undertake additional specialised deep cleaning programs during school closures. Holidays are to be taken outside of normal school term dates.

Applicants should be able to work as part of a team, be reliable and trustworthy and have a flexible and willing approach. Flexibility is required to cover sickness.

The successful candidate will:

  • be flexible, pro-active and a team player

 

 

  • have successful experience working within a school environment (although not essential)

 

 

  • be able to establish and maintain professional relationships with staff and children

 

 

  • be patient and have a good sense of humour

 

 

  • be able to manage own time effectively to prioritise the work

 

 

  • be dependable and act as a role model to the children by upholding the aims and values of the school

 

 

  • be committed to safeguarding our children at all times

 

 

Successful experience working within a school environment would be beneficial but training will be provided.

An understanding of health and safety in relation to this role would also be beneficial.

The salary for this post will be paid pro rata on Kent Range 2 (FTE £14,856-£15252).

Borden Church of England School is a small school situated in the village of Borden, just outside Sittingbourne in Kent and we are proud to be part of Our Community Multi Academy Trust - OCMAT. We have approximately 120 pupils in 5 mixed age classes.
