We are looking to appoint a Teaching assistant to support pupils across our unique school. This is initally a temporary post until December 2018, but may extend after this period, depending on the school roll. This will consist of supporting pupils in class, running interventions for individuals and groups, working closly with class teachers, the SENCo and our FLO. Our school has a high percentage of Gypsy Roma Pupils, and is an incredibly special and rewarding place to work. Our pupils are keen to learn and very responsive to any additional support we can provide. 

Ulcombe is a small primary school with approximately 70 pupils divided into 3 classes. The school is part of a federation of three schools ( Kingswood, Ulcombe and Leeds and Broomfield) which is led by Executive Headteacher Emma Hickling.

The children at Ulcombe are friendly and hard working and aim to achieve high standards. They are looking for a warm friendly TA to support them in their learning.

Ulcombe Primary School is a unique, small voluntary controlled Church of England Primary School for 4-11 year olds, located in the heart of the Kent countryside in Maidstone, Kent. The excellent pupil to staff ratio enables much smaller than average class sizes which contributes to the very special ethos around our school. Classrooms are spacious and very well-resourced. Our grounds are extensive and equally well resourced. Our school values not only the development of each child's academic ability but also strives to nurture the whole child through a creative and extended curriculum. This curriculum has been particularly praised by Ofsted for it robust nature an the opportunities it provides for every child to thrive. Ulcombe Primary School prides itself on being an inclusive school where learning is enjoyed and children are engaged and happy. We are part of the wider Aspire Federation of schools comprising of four local schools within a very small catchment area.
