Job Summary

Horizon Primary Academy’s aim is to actively engage and support its students in their personal and academic development, empowering them to be fulfilled and make a positive contribution to society.

We are a community school that delivers consistently high quality teaching and learning, while delivering attainment outcomes above national for the last three years.

Our emphasis is on developing ‘the whole child’ and our Academy is leading the way in character education by implementing Scouting as part of our curriculum. We are now a flagship school for scouting and this is an integral part of our curriculum and ethos.

Students are well behaved and all visitors comment on the calm and relaxed atmosphere in the school. ‘Children love learning and teachers love teaching’.

We are seeking to appoint a Headteacher with vision, energy, leadership ability and the management skills to take the school forward.  If you are an experienced school leader such as a Deputy or Assistant Headteacher, and you are looking for an opportunity to take your next career step into Headship, then this role would provide you with an opportunity to take that step within a supportive and nurturing organisation.
