We are looking for a special person to temporarily take over the running of our out of school club, to cover maternity leave.

Hours 3.00-6.00 Mon- Fri  - term time only.

You will need to...

  1. Plan and deliver quality safe play opportunities for children of mixed ages. Provide premium quality care, collecting children from class and delivering them safely to parents and carers.
  2. Prepare and serving a daily snack that meets food safety and nutritional standards.
  3. Prepare risk assessments for all aspects of the club. 5.
  4. Administer first aid. 6.
  5. Provide support and supervision of any other staff or volunteers.
  6. Work with the Headteacher and Governors to devise and review club policies.
  7. Keep abreast of administration and record keeping, including liaising with the school Resources Manager to ensure that detailed financial records are kept and that families are invoiced appropriately.
  8. Work within an agreed budget to order supplies, including food.
  9. Develop parental involvement and encourage good communication for all - involving children and parents as far as possible. 10.
  10. Ensure that the workspace of the club is clean and tidy at the end of each session.
  11. Uphold the school's ethos and values and follow school policy at all times.  Prepare for Ofsted inspections and action any recommendations arising from inspection 13.
  12. Act as Child Protection coordinator for the club.

The club offers 12 places with a vision for extending this provision in the future.

Minimum qualifications - - NVQ level 3 in playwork development - Paediatric First Aid Certificate - Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience within a childcare setting. - Understanding of KCC finance policy and experience of budget monitoring and control. - Experience and understanding of multi agency working. - Knowledge and experience of child protection policy, health and safety, security, and equal opportunities.
