Teaching Assistant required for the Valley Invicta Primary School at Leybourne Chase.

This is a permanent appointment, 37 hours per week on a term time only basis (38 weeks per year).  The salary will be paid within the VIAT 2 grade, pro rata to full-time equivalent of £16,303 - £17,419 per annum.

The successful candidate will:-

• Have English and Mathematics GCSE (C grade or above).
• Knowledge and experience of observations and Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
• Have a first aid qualification or be prepared to undergo first aid training
• Be able to support teaching staff in providing a stimulating and caring learning environment.
• Be committed to supporting and nurturing children, adopting an inclusive approach that enables them to reach their full potential.
• Motivate and inspire children to learn.
• Be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
• Be able to adapt and respond to children’s individual emotional and physical needs.

Your duties will include:-

• Assisting with group and individual work.
• Observations.
• Providing assistance with day-to-day running of the class.
• Supervision of and engagement in play.
• Monitoring the lunch hall during mealtimes.
• Promoting good table manners.

The Valley Invicta Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, based in Maidstone, Kent.
