Learning Mentor

The High Weald Academy are looking for a Learning Mentor to work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis. You will support students in lessons, ensuring that they are on-task and that their behaviour does not become a barrier to their learning. You will need to establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and supervising them in their interactions with staff and other students, both in and out of lessons. The successful candidate will need to have experience of working with students, preferably in supporting with complex needs, and will need to have excellent communication skills. The job description provides additional information about the responsibilities and requirements of the role.

This is a fixed term position linked to high needs funding, and the hours will be12 hours per week term time only, plus 5 days. The salary is Kent Scheme 3, points 7-1, £4,174 to £4,644 (full time equivalent £15,252 to £16,967) and the position is available immediately.
