Teaching Assistant - Early Years Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1 

February/March 2018 start

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Teahing Assistant to work with our friendly and dedicated staff team in  EYFS or KS1.  The post will be a full time, term time only position to cover Maternity Leave, however, this position could be extended to a permanent position depending on the needs of the school and the suitability of the Teaching Assistant to the role required.  The responsibilities of this role include undertaking play time and lunch supervision duties.

The successful candidate will have:

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)
• An understanding of the EYFS/National Curriculum and the expected progression through EYFS/KS1.
• Experience of working within a school, preferably at EYFS/KS1 level
• A proven ability to work effectively and enthusiastically both independently and as part of a team
• The experience and ability to engage successfully with children, extending them in purposeful activities and enhancing their learning
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to enforce school rules with patience and understanding
• A passion for learning and the motivation to improve
