Trust Finance Manager Advert To commence as soon as possible

                                                                                                                        This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and highly experienced Finance Manager to join the newly formed Potential in Everyone Academy Trust to manage the operational finance function of the Trust.

The successful candidate will manage and control the Trust's accounting and budget planning systems to ensure they are fully operational, compliant with the current academy financial regulations and ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a professional day to day financial service to support the Trust Business Manager

The successful candidate will:

  • Have significant experience of financial management at a senior level in a medium to large organisation
  • Excellent knowledge of the funding, regulatory and legislative environment of academies
  • Significant knowledge of the principles and methods of financial control and reporting, and their adaptation to various purposes, including the preparation of financial accounts.
  • Substantial experience of schools’ current accounting system (SIMs FMS6) and budget planning system (Orivia)
  • The ability to prepare detailed budget forecasts and effectively monitor income and expenditure producing monthly reports
  • Substantial experience of producing a range of documents and reports using Microsoft Office
  • Be highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate, build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders communicating technical information in a manner non-technical people understand
  • Have experience of interpreting data and the ability to communicate financial information in a manner non-financial people understand
  • Be an experienced line manager, able to develop and train staff
  • Be able to facilitate technical and specialist training

Potential in Everyone Academy Trust is a Church based Multi Academy Trust which is made up of two small Church of England Primary Schools (Bredgar and Borden), a three form entry Infant School (The Oaks) and a three form entry Junior school (Minterne). We also proudly provide a specialist resource provision for children with speech and language difficulties on the Oaks and Minterne site. The Trust's registered office is Bredgar CE Primary School.
