We are seeking to appoint an experienced and well qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team of enthusiastic and dedicated staff. 

This position will be based in Key Stage 1 and is a part time, term time only position, starting in January 2018, as soon as possible. The post is for 26 hours and 45 minutes per week: 

Monday: 08.15 - 14.30pm

Tuesday: 08.15 - 13.00pm

Wednesday 08.15 - 15.30pm

Thursday 08.15 - 13.00pm

Friday 08.15 - 13.00pm

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • support in class with maths, literacy, spelling and reading under the teacher's direction with groups of children.
  • offer 1:1 support to pupils
  • lead directed interventions with pupils on a regular basis. 
  • Supervise the class in the teacher's absence one afternoon a week. 
  • Undertake lunchtime and playground supervision duties each day. 

We welcome applications from candidates who:

  • have attained GCSE or equivelant Maths and English at a minimum  C grade. 
  • Have experience of supporting in class under the new national curriculum as a teaching assistant. 
  • have undertaken relevant training or are willing to attend training to be able to support individuals or groups of children. 
  • have the passion and motivation to help children succeed.
  • can work closely with the class teacher and as a positive team member.
  • can demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • are willing to positively promote the Christian values of the school.
