TEACHER OF PSYCHOLOGY (Maternity Cover – Full Time)

Required for April 2018

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and inspirational teacher of Psychology to cover maternity leave at our highly successful, selective school.

You must be passionate about your subject and have the drive to maintain our superb academic results. This role is suitable for an experienced teacher or an NQT.

Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School is a highly respected school that places students’ academic success on a par with their wellbeing, creating a unique learning community where every individual matters. This is reflected in our approach to teaching and learning and as a teacher of Psychology, the successful candidate will be central to continuing to instil this ethos in our students.

Our curriculum: we study AQA A-Level Psychology and the optional modules chosen are Gender, Schizophrenia and Aggression. We currently do not teach Psychology at GCSE-Level, so the successful candidate will be a strong A-Level teacher.

Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School is a highly respected selective Voluntary Controlled Girls’ Grammar School that places students’ academic success on a par with their wellbeing, creating a unique learning community where every individual matters. Students attending the school are aged between 11-18 years and the school has a student roll of about 1,300 students (with approx. 400 pupils in our mixed Sixth Form).
