The Directors of Ripplevale School are seeking to appoint a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Headteacher.

The successful applicant will work with the CEO and the newly appointed Headteacher to support and develop initiatives to drive forward continuous school improvement. The post holder will play a key role in the senior management team of the school and will be part of the safeguarding team for the school.

Candidates need to hold QTS and a proven track record of high quality teaching, learning and assessment and working with effective multi-disciplinary partnerships.

We are keen to hear from enthusiastic, experienced and well qualified leaders with expertise in supporting students with Special and Additional needs. Knowledge of successful strategies for meeting the needs of young people with ASD is essential.

Information about the school

Ripplevale School is an independent day special school for pupils aged from 6 to 18 years old who have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) with a diagnosis of ASD, often with associated conditions.

Ripplevale School is situated over two sites. Ripplevale Lower School is situated in Broadstairs, teaching a Primary provision and Ripplevale Upper School is based in the village of Ripple near Deal, for our Secondary and Post 16 provision.

We have a committed and dedicated team which includes teachers, teaching assistants, higher level teaching assistants, a range of therapists, administrative staff and support staff. All play a significant role in the education and development of each pupil and work to create a warm, informal, friendly atmosphere in which the pupils feel secure, safe and confident.
