Personal Assistant to the Headteacher and Admissions Officer

Maternity Cover 

Salary Scale  KR6 £19,609 - £21,509 (pro-rata £16,592-£18,199) 

37 hours per week (39 weeks per year – term time only plus 5 INSET days).

We wish to appoint a highly organised and efficient Personal Assistant to provide a confidential service to our Headteacher and support our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will demonstrate high levels of literacy and numeracy and excellent ICT, secretarial and communication skills.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide P.A. duties to the Headteacher including day to day administration, diary management, attendance at high level meetings, production of minutes and reports and other ad hoc duties. The position requires a highly organised, accurate, discreet, approachable and dedicated individual who has the ability to multi task and work under pressure. As a first point of contact, a good telephone manner, pleasing personality with good communication skills and smart appearance are essential.

As Admissions Officer the successful candidate will take a lead role on the admissions process through to enrolment, effectively managing the system of pupil transfer and  liaising with all parties and addressing enquiries. They will also lead on the process of secondary transition. This will require a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Candidates must show a mature, patient and diplomatic aptitude with a strong sense of confidentiality and loyalty. The ability to manage time and workload efficiently is essential as is a strong working knowledge of MS Office.  Knowledge of SIMS is desirable however; training will be given if required.

This will be a temporary contract, covering Maternity Leave.

8:15am to 4:15pm Monday to Thursday, 8:15am to 3:45pm Friday.
