As a single form entry school, we are seeking a passionate teacher who values children's wellbeing as much as their academic development. The post will cover PPA release time, two days per week. This post initially a fixed term for 2 terms.

The successful candidate will work closely with staff in planning and delivering high quality lessons that complement the children's previous learning. Not only will you have your own well developed teaching style, but will be sensitive to the existing ethos and routines of each class, ensuring a smooth and consistent learning experience in each age phase.

Assessment for learning is a high value which will be used to ensure lessons are appropriately pitched and informs pupils of their next steps through marking. Pupil progress is recorded on Target Tracker.

As a valued member of the team, you will be working alongside equally enthusiastic and committed colleagues. Although routines will be established, flexibilty will be required to meet the needs of the school.

This post has the potential to be highly rewarding for the individual with the required skill set.

Information about the school

The school was first founded in 1894 and has taught the children of Bean ever since. The new premises was opened in 1966. As a village school, we benefit from a sprawling rural location with easy access to the A2 and Bluewater. This provides many opportunities for creative and interesting learning opportunities for our pupils.

We believe that confident, independent children make effective learners who can make full use of the engaging curriculum we offer. We encourage our pupils to be inquisitive, to question and reflect. The school environment and ethos ensures that children, from the earliest age, develop a passion for learning and eagerness to do their best.
