We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, committed and reliable Teaching Assistant for EYFS with a minimum qualification of NVQ2, to join our friendly team for 30 hours a week, 39 weeks per year, which includes 30 minutes lunchtime duty. Experience of speech and language is preferable but not necessary.

We are a creative, caring school. If you put children at the centre of all education with enthusiasm and patience, then you are the person for us. You should have a good standard of English and Maths and be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude, good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable. Good time management and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential. 

Our Teaching Assistants are accountable to the Class Teacher and SENCO, sharing the responsibility for raising standards and equipping the children with the skills and knowledge to be successful in life. Responsibilities will include, supporting groups of children in achieving the lesson objective in English, Maths and across all areas of the curriculum, feeding back to the Class Teacher, keeping records of progress and behaviour, communicating with parents, preparing resources and some administrative work and displaying children’s work creatively. At interview your motivation for working with children will be explored as well as how you meet the person specification. The selection process will also consist of activities including working with some of our pupils.
