About the Job

We are looking to recruit a Pastoral Support Manager to take a lead role in providing pastoral support for students across a year group, more specifically with behaviour management, welfare and guidance.

Core duties will involve:

  • Setting high standards of behaviour, attitude, appearance and attendance for students in accordance with the Academy's policies and agreed paractices.
  • Day to day responsibility for the behaviour of the year group, including lesson checks, managing behaviour escalations, reporting mechanisms and administration.
  • Establshing positive relationships with parent
  • Supervising students in the Reflection Centre one day each week.
  • Building and maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration
  • Helping to promote independent learning and help develop student and organisational skills in pupils

About You;

Applicants will ideally have previous experience of working with young people in an academic environment, ideally with KS3 or 4 pupils, have excellent communication and organisation skills and an enthusiastic commitment to building effective and positive working relationships with young people. You will be educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy and be willing to undertake any necessary training or qualifications relevant to the position.
