Hunton CEP School are seeking to appoint an outstanding, dedicated, committed and accredited SENCo to join our team. You will be passionate about raising standards of our pupils, specifically those with SEND and those who are disadvantaged thus improving their life chances.

 

The successful candidate will have a successful track record in supporting and improving provision for children with a range of needs and demonstrate the capability and relish the opportunity to develop the skill set and knowledge base of teaching and support staff.

 

As we are a small school, our SEND cohort is small. The role is 0.2 FTE (1 day per week) with a SEND allowance for £2106.00 per annum (pro rata).  The role comes with the responsibility for pupil premium pupils. As a result, excellent organisation, time management and efficiency is essential.

 

The job entails:

  • Evaluating progress and attainment data
  • Mapping necessary interventions and provision, ensuring that they are cost effective
  • Support staff in planning for the needs of SEND pupils
  • Provide quality CPD for teaching and support staff
  • Supporting the SLT in all SEND matters
  • Ability to use excellent communication in a timely fashion to all stake holders regarding SEND
  • Responsibility for pupil premium provision and progress
  • Excellent and meticulous record keeping
  • Attending regular local authority meetings

We are a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School. The school currently has 99 pupils taught in 4 year groups comprising R; 1 and 2; 3 and 4; 5 and 6. The PAN is currently 15.
