We are looking to appoint an outstanding classroom teacher who can inspire and excite students in their learning of History.  The Academy is well on its journey of a commitment to the highest of expectations and achievement for all.

You will be joining a well-resourced department that has a relentless focus on raising achievement. History is a popular option at GCSE and we have thriving numbers in A Level. The post offers outstanding opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an NQT or experienced teacher.  The person appointed would be supported by the Head of History and the team of History specialist teachers.  We also work closely with the other Humanity subjects to support progress and learning across all key stages.

As well as our state of the art facilities, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities.  Cornwallis Academy value positive working relationships and seek individuals who will support this ethos. The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • The ability to teach History up to KS4 and the potential for development of KS5 teaching
  • Possess recent and relevant teaching experience
