Governors’ Administrator

 

Responsible to:           Chair of Governors

Location:                    Margate, Kent

Salary:                       hourly rate £11.50

Start Date:                  ASAP

 

We are looking for an Administrator to arrange, attend and clerk all meetings of the Board of Governors, maintain information on the membership of the Governing Body in accordance with legal requirements and advise the Governing Body on procedural and legislative matters.

The successful candidate will be employed for 140 hours per annum to be worked flexibly around the dates of the Governing Body meetings.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Governing Body and Senior Leadership Team at Hartsdown Academy. The successful candidate will:

  • Have the ability to manage their own time efficiently and prioritise their workload
  • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Have the ability to prepare agendas and take minutes
  • Have the ability to work flexible hours including attendance at all meetings

The ideal candidate will have experience of clerking committees, ideally previously working in a school/educational environment, although this is not essential.
