We are looking for a Reflection Centre Manager to administer and supervise the internal exclusion of students in our Reflection Centre and to coordinate work from the relevant subject areas.  Responsibilities will include;

  • Supervising students in the Reflection Centre, providing challenge and motivation to ensure a calm working environment.
  • Liaising with the subject teachers when appropriate, creating and collating resources and gaining key information about units of work in order to prepare for supporting students during internal exclusion.
  • Contributing to the development of strategies to develop and progress the Reflection Centre and internal exclusion supervision, working effectively as a member of the school pastoral  team responding to the needs of students on the basis of the schools policies and agreed practices.

You will have experience of;

  • Working in an academic setting, ideally with KS3 or KS4 pupils
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection Issues
  • Good ICT skills in MS Office products
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Planning, prioritising and managing workload in an environment of conflicting demands
  • Experience of working confidentially, efficiently and on own initiative.

You will have a firm, calm approach and the ability to build effective and positive working relationships with young people.  You should be enthusiastic, resiliant  and committed to ensuring all students have the opportunity to be the best they can be.
