Laleham Gap School is looking for an enthusiastic and well-qualified Deputy Headteacher to join our team and develop a personalised curriculum, which meets the needs of our children at this special school.

The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of curriculum, development and leadership. They will also have experience in working with pupil progress and attainment models. They will have proved themselves to be, an enthusiastic and engaging teacher. There will be a teaching commitment and they will have behaviour management and developing middle leaders as strengths.

Candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven record in whole school developments as well as at least five years' experience at a leadership level. Experience of Staff Performance Management is highly desirable.

This post is open to candidates with either mainstream or special school experience.

School visits are recommended for prospective candidates.

Laleham Gap is a Communication and Interaction Special School. We have pupils aged from 4 to 18 years of age. Most of our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism. All pupils have an EHCP. Most pupils will achieve some GCSEs or equivalent at age 16. Laleham Gap is a new, high quality and well-resourced environment and the opportunity to work with an established, experienced and highly motivated team.
