St Gregory's Catholic Primary is embarking on a new a exciting journey for the children in our school community. We are determined we will make a difference to their lives and have high expecations that those who join our team are prepared to 'go the extra' mile for them.

Our school is located in the lovely area of Margate, with beautiful beaches just a short walk away and our Forest School being developed in our wonderful grounds. We have embarked on some amazing projects including being an associate school with The Marlowe Theatre and The Canterbury High School, as well as achieving our recognition of committment to become a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to cover a maternity post. The ideal candidate would be sympathetic to and respect our Catholic values and ethos. They would demonstrate the committment and passion to help us encourage our young people to strive to be the best they can be.

Information about the school

St Gregory’s is a one and a half form entry primary school of just under 300 children in the popular seaside town of Margate. Despite being a small school, we have large, leafy grounds with plenty of space for everyone, a forest school and an outdoor gym as well as a purpose built hub for interventions. We pride ourselves on excellent pastoral care. Huge attention focuses on individual need as well as academic progress; we see children as individuals.

As a team, we focus on nurturing children to become confident, resilient learners who are keen to challenge themselves and persevere in the face of adversity. St Gregory's is often referred to by staff and parents as a family; this is an exciting opportunity to join our family.
