The University of Kent Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a motivated and committed individual to the role of Finance Manager.

This is a new role, which will work across the newly formed University of Kent Academies Trust. You will manage the operational finance function of Trust ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of a professional service. This will include operational financial management, statutory reporting, and supporting the administration of payroll and pensions.

The successful candidate will

  • have a good general education to include as a minimum 5+ A*-C grades at GCSE (or equivalent) including English language and Maths;
  • ideally have an accountancy qualification (AAT or part qualified CCAB);
  • have high level of competence in using ICT;
  • have proven and successful experience of financial accounting and regulations;
  • demonstrate the ability to analyse and interpret data;
  • demonstrate good organisation and communication skills
  • be innovative, creative and self-motivated
  • demonstrate a professional ability to think and work creatively and flexibly whilst working with close attention to detail;
