We warmly invite applications from experienced and qualified HLTAs to work in our happy, friendly and ambitious school. The position is for 30 hours per week, 38 weeks / year The successful candidate will be required to cover PPA and management time as well as occasional staff absences. We are looking for someone who has: • HLTA qualification or the equivalent  • A love of children • Very good literacy / numeracy / ICT / creative skills • The ability to teach, motivate and inspire learners • Experience of working with KS2 children of varying abilities • High standards and expectations • Strong communication skills • An optimistic, sunny disposition •

Tenterden Church of England Junior School is part of the Tenterden Primary Federation and works in close partnership with Tenterden Infant School.

Our school is situated in the country town of Tenterden with a population of approximately 6,000. We are on the eastern margin of the Weald of Kent, 12 miles from Ashford, 18 miles from Maidstone and 25 miles from the Channel Tunnel.

We are a two form entry school, part of the Tenterden Schools Trust with Tenterden Infant School, St Michaels Primary School, Rolvenden Primary School and Homewood School and Sixth form college which gives opportunities for collaborative team working.

We have eight classes, with 194 pupils currently on roll. The school works in strong partnership with parents and is working hard to raise standards and improve pupil progress.
