A position has become available to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 who requires additional support to access the curriculum fully.

The successful candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic person who relishes the challenge and rewards gained from working with children.

This role will be to support a child with specific needs within the classroom, working mainly on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis enabling learning.  The post is linked to funding available to meet speicific needs and will be temporary in the first instance.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience including supporting children with additional needs.
  • a genuine interest and sensitivity towards children as individuals
  • the skills needed to engage children in effective learning
  • the ability to work as part of a team
  • a positive and flexible outlook

Minimum qualifications NVQ L3 or equivalent and GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.

This position would be for 28.75 hours per week, term time over 5 days a week with the contract initially running until the end of July 2018.
