Caretaker

 

St Peter’s Methodist Primary School is looking to appoint somebody to help look after our lovely city centre school.

 

This role has a number of aspects including:

  • Site safety and security
  • Out of hours key holder
  • Unlocking the school building in preparation for the school day
  • General repairs and maintenance
  • Hygiene and Health and Safety
  • Site maintenance
  • Liaising with cleaning and maintenance contractors

 

This role will involve regular contact with children, staff and parents as well as contractors.

 

The role will be 20 hours per week throughout the year. The role includes ensuring the school is unlocked by 7am during term time.

 

The applicant should be someone who can relate to children and adults alike and have a flexible attitude to meet the ongoing needs and requirements of the school as well as being willing to immerse themselves in working at a happy, friendly primary school.

 

Some experience is preferable but not necessary.

The school enjoys a strong relationship with the Methodist Church and has been recognised as Outstanding in the June 2018 SIAMS inspection.
