Job Description

Cecil Road Primary & Nursery School is a popular and successful school with an excellent reputation in the area. We have friendly, supportive staff and well-behaved children.

We are looking to appoint a Finance/Administration Assistant who would work 30 hours a week term-time only - covering 8.30am-4.00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (with an hour lunch) and 8.30am-12.30pm on Wednesday.

Their key duties would be:

Responsibilities:

To provide general finance / administrative services to the school under the management and guidance of senior staff.

 Key duties and responsibilities:

Undertake a range of financial procedures e.g. receive and record monies from pupils/parents relating to visits, clubs etc.

  1. Monitor Parent Pay – system used by parents/carers to pay for school trips, clubs etc.
  2. School trips – organise bus hire/check trip costings/print wrist bands etc.
  3. Undertake reconciliations e.g. of bank accounts etc.
  4. Undertake personnel administration such as CRB checks / staff absence.
  5. Pupil Premium – keep up-to-date records of all eligible pupils.
  6. Cool Milk – update records accordingly and confirm delivery information.
  7. School Uniform – liaise with Sewing Shop re official school uniform.
  8. Assist Clerk to Governing Body with administration.

 Individuals in this role may also undertake some or all of the following:

  1. Undertake other support duties such as reception, dealing with correspondence, filing and word processing.
  2. Respond to reception and visitor enquiries.
  3. Assist with school lettings.
  4. Assist Finance Manager and PA/Headteacher when required
