Food Technician

The Ebbsfleet Academy wish to appoint a Food Technology Technician to join them for October 2017.  The successful candidate will demonstrate high profession practice in all areas of work, will be an excellent role model for students, will be efficient and effective, and highly organised in all areas of work.  This vacancy is for 30 hours per week, term time only, plus inset, with a salary of £10,333 - £11,495 per annum (full time equivalent £15,252 - £16,967)

The role will involve assisting the food technology teacher with the preparation of ingredients and work space, monitoring and maintenance of consumables and equipment in the department, assisting teaching staff in promoting Technology in and outside the Academy, and ensuring that the workspaces are maintained in accordance with health and safety regulations.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, experience of stock management/maintenance, knowledge of food hygiene and the ability to adapt to changing situations.  Knowledge of textiles would be an advantage, but is not essential.

You will use your application to demonstrate your skills and experience in relation to the advertised position.
